Week 7
This week's lecture is Visual Design for Final Dissertation. Finally is the time to design our book cover and layouts. It seem fun
INTRODUCTION
VISUAL DESIGN PUBLICATION
Before designing the book, we need to outcome with ideas and theme for our design, so we were required to create a mood board to represent what we want to design.
Here is the mood board that I made:
I had try out many book cover and Dr Hayati said the first and second one may work
To match my theme, i choose the second one:
After that, I started to work on the design. Below is my first attempt but get rejected because my target audiences is not children so the design might looking too childish so i should work on a more mature design.
After getting feedback from Dr Hayati, i work on my design, I'm planning to create a fun book with fun and colorful design and here is the second attempt that i did:
But it seem too colorful and it is not suitable for a book so here is the final design after adjusting:

Week 7
The color moodboard is very bright, Dr Hayati don't really agree with the bright color, while she say is depends on me, and after i told her the reason why i choose those color, she say is ok, because it is making sense. She also like the layout references that i show, and my slide’s content, because it is detail

Week 7
Finally can take a break on writing, and it is time to design our book, Im quite excited
Week 8
I had try to create a “fun” book cover to represent the game aesthetic ( somehow,game aesthetic also mean “fun”) with colorful color, which i had choose darker blue, red and yellow as the main color and black and white as the basic color. The reason that i choose these color, because in my opinion these color represent joy and aesthetic and they have big contrast between each others so it might look fun.
Week 9
After i getting feedback from Dr Hayati, i create another two book cover which is more minimalist from the first attempt, is more on a graphic illustration way.
After getting feedback from Dr Hayati, I found that i misunderstood on what is conceptual framework is, it does create based on my study, but some words i didn’t use in the paper, so it cannot be included.
Week 11
I create a complex design, but dr.hayati suggest me to simplify all the design and the color of the design is still very colorful, maybe can decrease it, so i match each color with black instead of matching two contrast colors together, im enjoying doing the design, i like to use AI so is quite interesting, and i'm satisfy on my work.

Week 8
Need to make sure the target audience,add Conceptual framework
Week 9
Be careful of the coma, period, need to have spacebar between it, the title of the book change ,remove the word “look into”, the book cover for the first and second attempt is ok but still looks not really match for older adults
Week 10
The conceptual framework doing wrongly, it must based on what i had wrote, and the limitations of Dota 2 is too big, may explain more
Week 11
Play with the empty space, be careful of the spacing,the layout shouldn’t be too consistent can be slightly different (not necessary that every single pages need to have lines), the font size can be smaller (9pt),the words (title) cant be on the middle of two pages.

I am struggling with the layout of my book,so Im putting the content inside first then design it later on
