Video and Sound Production - Final Project

FINAL PROJECT

We were required to find 3 stop motion videos that we like. There are too many good stop motion videos but these three video makes me want to continue watching it.

First, the makeup stop motion video by self acoustic

I have seen this video for a long time ago, and i did repeat this video for few times so i still remember it. I also think that the moment she wearing the contact lens is really realistic, the screen turns clear from blurry.

Delicious Stone

This is a foumous video that i bet many of us has watched before, i really like it. I like the sound effect of the video and how he turn the stone into a cake

Pigun : Break the ice

This is my childhood memory, i still remember that i have lots of the "pigun" cd. It is very cute and fun.

At first, i don't know i want to partner with who, but i did have some ideas for my final project.I plan to do a story about how a artist achieve his/her dream, and what had she/he get through and maybe a cute and funny story using clay and paper to create a video about a short daily story about a pet.

While after partner with Christine, we decide to do a sad story name "I am fine"

The summary of the story " I'M FINE":

This is a story that illustrates the life behind the smiley face of a little boy. This story talk about what does he been through in his life, and tell that his true feeling behind the mask. He is sad, but he need to pretend he is happy.

This story also want to mention that, this world needs more love and stop bullying to others.

After that, finally, we start to makes the puppets and the background that we need!

I also make the room background by myself, here is the progress of designing the room background.

You can see the details on the wall, all the pictures that hang on his room try to shows that the saddest and how depression he is. The color scheme that i used also want to shows the feeling of cool, lonely and darkness.

For the canteen, i make a contrast with the boy's bedroom, to show that the different between him and others. For the canteen, i use a brighter color scheme to create a joyful, warm and happy atmosphere which is totally different from the boy himself.

After we have done all the crops, we started to firm our stop motion! We then shoot with the phone first but the outcome didn't come out well and it is really unconvenient to adjust the images one by one so after firming about 60% we decide to reshoot the whole video again with DSL.

Here is some progression photo of us firming the stop motion video.Christine help to move the puppets while i become the "cameraman". We also change our role sometimes, we help each other, and work together. We did a great collaboration and from this project, i meet a new cute best friend.
