LECTURE NOTES
07.01.20 ( Week 1 )
The class started with a brief of the MIB, and after choosing our own groupmates for final project, we also required to give presentation for different topics every week. This week, we present "Manuel Lima's 9 ".
Here is the presentation slides that we did:
14.01.20 ( Week 2 )
This week we present "L.A.T.C.H", which is about the five ways to organize all the information. This week, Mr Kanna comment on our presentation, and say that we can't just present while looking at the slides, we need to look at our audiences and be confident.
21.01.20 ( Week 3 )
This week, my groupmates Jess suggests that we can present our slides in a more interesting way, so we have a scenario that pretends we are a Youtuber, and through the slides, we know how "Miller's Law Chunking" works. Mr Kanan said that, i need more confidence while presenting.
18.02.20 ( Week 7 )
After the Japan trip, here is the last slides that we had present. " Different types of infographic", here is our slides, and Mr Kanan said we did a great job, and finally he didn't comment that me is less confidence already!
For Flip 5, we were also required to choose a type of infographic, and search for an example and redesign it.
I am doing Informational infographic, Here is my chosen example:
Here is my final redesign poster:
I make it become a phone, and looks like someone is chatting, but all the chats are the information, so the poster won't be so boring.
INFORMATION
EXERCISES
Quantifiable Information ( Button)
We were required to organize a set of buttons or legos, and need to categorize them in a A4 paper.
I choose legos for fun, but i didn't recognize legos are this hard to categorize.I got about 98 pieces of legos and i need to arrange them into a A4 paper and this is a hard task. Another difficulty is that my legos got too many different kind of pieces.
I categorize them into 7 categories but still can't fit the A4 paper.
So, i arrange them into bricks, plates, slopes and unique pieces.
L.A.T.C.H Pokemon
I got several ideas pop up on mind while researching about the pokemon, and i started to sketch in AI, and roughly arrange how the infographic poster is.
Here are the sketches that i did:
Here are the references of the ideas, colors, and chosen pokemon:
After all, i start to create my own "square island", i make it all one by one and tooks me about 2-3 days to finish this exercise and i'm kind of love it.
Here is my final outcome of my LATCH pokemon poster:
