Week 1 (04.04.19)

Mr Hafiz began the class with a briefing of the module and introduce Illustrator for us. He taught us the basic skill and tools in Illustrator. After that, he gave us the first exercise which is " Vormator Challenge" 

Firstly, he taught us how to trace the shape out and he want us to create our own character with the shapes given only and only 3 colors can be used

This is my first try on creating the character with the shapes. It is a smiling devil but she has a kind heart



Week 2 ( 11.04.19 )

This week is Mr Redzwan turns to teach us. He taught us that how to draw square, rectangle and cylinder in different perspective, and then he asked us to combine the shapes together and draw something around us. For example, mouse, water bottle , pencil case and so on.

After that, he taught us about the how the shadow present in different way with how the light forms by using three grey markes. We draw it as well

Lastly, he gave us an exercise which is render the shadow of the robot with the different light source from.

Week 3 ( 18.04.19)

For this class, Mr Hafiz taught us how to create shadow in Illustrator. He firstly guide us how to play with the pear that we draw and using knife tool to cut the pear

He combine the pear and the watermelon together it looks really fun and interesting , after that he shows us how to apply some special shadow with a skull shape and he want us to create our own pear and this is how i do mine.

I want to make it scarier so i add sharp teeth and a long tongue which looks like fire.

For what we learn today, he required us to apply shadow on our vormator character.



Week 4 ( 25.04.19 )

For this class, Mr Redzwan taught us how to draw facial expression, he gave us some examples and ask us try to follow the drawing and sketch it out. We need to draw the draft by using the grey marker and draw the outline with our own black pen.

We started by drawing different type of "emoji".

After all, Mr Redzwan required us to draw our own facial expression with our own character. Which is the facial expression of a non-living thing (object) and a living thing (animal).

I choose Rabbit and Balloon and start to work on it.

Week 6 ( 09.05.19 )

This week, we been told to create our own brush, Mr Hafiz show us how to create the brush and use it in photoshop.

First, we need to find a water color splash that we like and with the chosen splash we can create our own brush.

After creating the brush, we can apply it to create an artwork and this is what i made.

Week 7 ( 16.05.19 )

We started the class by drawing lines from different perspective, directions and ways. There were 34 types of line. The first 18 lines are "drawn slowly with even pressure" while the others are " drawn quickly with freedom".

 After that, we draw different treatments of the cubes and these were the outcome

Next, we were required to create 6 different styles of pears with lines and these were the outcome.

Week 8 (23.05.19)

We were required to choose a blockbuster movie and separate it to five narrative structure with following the plot diagram

I choose JUMANJI as my movie which i want to talk about

1. Exposition:

Spencer Gilpin, the main character of this movie. He and other three students because of different reason get punished to serve the  detention in the school basement. Spencer Gilpin open a old game name JUMANJI. After 4 of them choosing the character in the game, they sucked into the game and stucked.

2.Rasing Action:

They started on a journey to bring the magic jewel back to the Jaguar's eye. The magic jewel stole by the corrupt archeologist and cause the JUMANJI world get cursed, and the Npc Nigel stole it back and they were here to rescue the JUMANJI world, if they wanted to get out from the game

3.Climax:

Finally, they reached the final level of the game, they need to cross the dangerous jungle which full of dangerous animal and trap to reach the Jaguar. Instead of avoid from the trap they also need to defend the enemies' attack, which is the archeologist and his men.

4. Falling Action:

Finally, they beat down the enemy and put back the magic jewel into the Jaguar's eye and save the JUMANJI world. The world back to normal again.

5.Resolution:

They back to real life from the game and finally the male and female protagonist fall in love and born a strong friendship between four of them which they do not like each other before.
